“Making a stack” workshop provides an opportunity to get insights and explore the practice of set design and still-life styling. 

Guided by Set Designer Iulia Circei, participants will thoughtfully experiment with various stacking techniques. 
The goal is to assemble everyday objects into visual compositions that can be perceived as sculptural objects while challenging conventional perceptions of the relationship between objects, materiality, and space.  We will focus on key elements such as composition, texture, and color and use storytelling tools to convey a narrative within a controlled setting. 

The workshop is structured into two parts: a theoretical part where participants will be introduced to still life, working methods, and case studies, and a practical one where they will apply this knowledge to create a composition to be photographed in a studio-like environment.

The workshop is being hosted by The Edit Showroom, which strongly supports the design community. They are also, generously providing a curated selection of objects from renowned brands such as HAY, &Tradition, and Muuto for the participants to work with.
